Pole displays, or customer displays, are used to show information about a customer’s transaction. They vary in text height and technology, but almost always have two rows of twenty characters (2X20) on a vacuum fluorescent display. There are usually built on a stand, but some are set on a table top. Key Benefits: -Improve customer’s confidence during the transaction. -Pole displays are used to help reduce employee theft by providing verification that items are being properly entered. - In more advanced systems, pole displays feature easily programmed and customized messages and advertising. Special Market application Pole displays are useful in different retail markets. However, other devices, like screens and electronic cash register will also function as a display differently or the will have the option to add on one. Good to know Certain states or provinces require the use of a pole display in a retail environment. |
